27th October 2011 - Breathing Qigong - The Breath of Life
1 DAY WORKSHOP 10.00AM -5.00PM - £30.00
Qigong Breathing
Breathing Qigong is a part of the ancient Chinese form of Qigong. As a result of the autumn season which we are now in, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the air element is connected to the lungs and the large intestine. This is very relevant to our health during this demanding season as it will allow us to open our lungs fully to allow more oxygen to flow around. It is also important to understand how our emotions also affect our breathing.
Emotions can change the rhythms of the breath and it is very useful to know how to restore that balance. We will also cover on the workshop the techniques of breathing with Mudras. We will discuss normal and reverse breathing (Wild Goose breathing) relevant to Yin and Yang.
