Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an important part of traditional Chinese Medicine and Tao, which has been developed over 3000 years and has become increasingly popular in Europe. The aim of acupuncture is to address the imbalance of the whole person (body, mind and spirit) as these cannot be separated.

The first consultation and treatment will last one and a half hours, while the condition or problem, lifestyle and diet, stress levels and emotions are discussed.  The course of treatment will then be personalised and planned.

According to Chinese medical theory, energy moves the blood and for that reason it takes several minutes assessing how blood flow and energy interact, this is done by checking the pulse on the wrist.

Acupuncture diagnoses are largely an intellectual process that requires knowledge and the ability to access and process information about many physiological, energetic, emotional and mental functions in each individual. It requires the ability to recognise the underlying patterns of imbalance.

Acupuncture sessions can be quite and reflective, relaxing and may provide space for you to talk, laugh or cry. There is no condition, symptom, disease or state of mind that cannot be touched by Acupuncture, because acupuncture works by restoring your body’s own healing potential, it is good for many acute or chronic conditions and can prevent illness
